"This is the fith in a series of paintings wich have pathos for the subject.
They are about mid life crisis, aging, fear, uncertainty and not feeling part of what is going on around us. Dissociated.
They are about taking stock of what has been and contemplating what is ahead.
i use vibrant colours contrast with very dark colours to heighten these often discordant emotions and show this conflict between certainty and uncertainty, hope and regret, joy and stress, sanity and insanity - to express more psychological aspects of being human; the human condition."
"Esta es la quinta de una serie de pinturas que tienen el pathos como tema.
Tratan sobre la crisis de la mediana edad, el envejecimiento, el miedo, la incertidumbre y no sentirse parte de lo que sucede a nuestro alrededor. Disociado. Intentar hacer un balance sobre lo que pasó y contemplar lo que está por venir.
Utilizo colores vibrantes que contrastan con colores oscuros para aumentar estas emociones a menudo discordantes y mostrar este conflicto entre certeza e incertidumbre, esperanza y arrepentimiento, alegría y angustia, cordura y locura, para expresar aspectos psicológicos del ser humano; la condición humana."
