Estas fotos forman parte del proyecto 'Entertainment: Selections from Midcentury Studio' ['Entretenimiento: Selecciones del Estudio Mediados de Siglo'], del artista multidisciplinar Stan Douglas (Vancouver, EE.UU.), una serie para la que el artista ha montado la ficción de una serie de trabajos sobre la industria del entretenimiento realizados por un estudio fotográfico durante la postguerra americana. Y en concreto estos retratos pretenden mostrar al personal de un bar-cabaret de los años 50s, el Malabar, que nunca existió en la realidad.

These portraits here pretend to show the staff of a 1950s cabaret bar, called the Malabar, wich never existed in real life.
