"No puedes caminar recto cuando el camino se tuerce". Con ese proverbio gitano, adoptado como subtítulo, comienza el documental testimonio de la gira organizada por el World Music Institute y que llevó por Estados Unidos a cinco agrupaciones de distintos países representando de manera resumida y gloriosa diferentes destinos en los que recaló el pueblo Rom en sus siglos de viaje y persecución desde la originaria India. Para tal cartel se reunieron las fanfarrias de Taraf De Haïdouks y Fanfare Ciocărlia (Rumanía), los blues gitanos de la histórica cantante y activista humanista Esma Redzepova (Macedonia), encargada de entonar el himno 'Djelem Djelem', el flamenco jerezano de Antonio El Pipa y Juana La Del Pipa y compañía (España) o los ragas de Maharaja (India), estos últimos representantes a su manera de la fuente y raíz de todo el espectáculo. Unos privilegiados los que tuvieran la fortuna de asistir a cualquiera de aquellas citas.

So in it we can attend the gathering of styles and sentiments among the fanfares of Taraf De Haïdouks and Fanfare Ciocărlia (Romania), the gypsy blues of historical singer and humanitarian activist Esma Redzepova (Macedonia), who sings the Roma anthem 'Gelem Gelem', the Flamenco from Jerez of Antonio El Pipa and Juana la del Pipa and company (Spain), or the ragas of Maharaja (India), the last ones representing their own way the source and root of the whole show.
