James Baldwin (1924-1987) fue un escritor y activista estadounidense, a quien tocó crecer y vivir en los momentos aún feroces de la plena segregación racial y los tensos y humillantes primeros intentos de cambio. Este documental del año pasado, con la voz de Samuel L. Jackson, hace un pequeño repaso a su figura y sus reflexiones sobre el inexcusable segregacionismo, basándose en un texto inacabado (titulado 'Recuerda Esta Casa') en el que reflejaba su rabia y desesperación por los asesinatos de tres de sus amigos: Medgar Evers, Marthin Luther King y Malcolm X.
James Baldwin (1924-1987) was an U.S. writer and activist, who grew up and lived in the ferocious moments of racial segregation and the violent humiliating first attempts of change. This last year documentary gives, with the voice of Samuel L. Jackson, a short review on his figure and his reflections on the tense and inexcusable segregationism, based on an unfinished text (entitled 'Remember This House') in which he reflected his rage and despair over the murders of three of his friends: Medgar Evers, Marthin Luther King and Malcolm X.
