Este documental combina retazos de los viajes que PJ Harvey realizó con el fotógrafo Seamus Murphy, deviniendo en un libro conjunto de poemas e imágenes titulado 'El Hueco de la Mano' (2015), y de la grabación-performance que, inspirada por esas experiencias, también resultó en el álbum 'The Hope Six Demolition Project' (2016). Así la película funciona como colofón de un largo proyecto humanista y anti-belicista que viene a completar ambas publicaciones y en el que encontramos a otros protagonistas involuntarios como los personajes que encuentra en sus deambulaciones o los músicos de la grabación, entre ellos los Gallon Drunk, Mick Harvey (Bad Seeds), su constante colaborador John Parish o el histórico productor-ingeniero de sonido Flood.
This documentary combines pieces of the trips that PJ Harvey did with photographer Seamus Murphy, becoming a joint book of poems and images entitled 'The Hollow of the Hand' (2015), and the recording-performance that, inspired by those experiences, also resulted in the album 'The Hope Six Demolition Project' (2016). Thus the film works as a culmination of a long humanist and anti-war project that comes to complete both publications and in which we find other involuntary protagonists such as the characters she finds in her wanderings or the recording musicians, including Gallon Drunk, Mick Harvey (Bad Seeds), her constant collaborator John Parish or historical producer-sound engineer Flood.
