Toledo Diamond es un habitual de los escenarios nocturnos de Hollywood con su banda Angel And The Bad Man. Sus espectáculos musicales, con un fondo jazzístico y su recitado en un tono entre Tom Waits y Barry White, son todo un número de cabaret y burlesque que remite a otra época. En su página de facebook y en YouTube se encuentran algunos ejemplos.

Toledo Diamond is a regular of the Hollywood night scene with his band Angel And The Bad Man. His musical shows, with a jazzy background and his recitation with a tone between Tom Waits and Barry White, are a whole number of cabaret and burlesque reminiscent of previous times. Some examples are found on his facebook and on YouTube.

Blues de vodevil

Mmmm... Magnífica recopilación de cuatro cds de esos ancianos blues de garito nocturno. Uno casi puede ver la escena escuchándolo: parejas de baile con su mejor traje en movimientos pausados pero rítmicos, lo mejor y lo peor de cada casa en las mesas consumiendo lo que se tercia ese día, quizás algún que otro negocio dudoso tramándose disimuladamente, un tipo al final de su jornada, y una excelente intérprete acompañada de piano y poco más en el escenario... Y esa música que suena espiritual y golfa al mismo tiempo. Una gozada para los oídos.

Hmmm ... Magnificent collection of four CDs of those old blues for night joints. One can almost feel the scene listening to it: couples dancing in their best suit on rhythmic but slow movements, the best and worst from each family on the tables having what has been offered that day, maybe some odd business secretly planned, a guy at the end of his labour day, and an excellent performer accompanied by piano and little else on stage ... And that spiritual but simultaneously devilish music sounding. A joy for the ears.
