'Slash' was a pioneer punk fanzine produced in L.A., which in spite of its sobriety and not being pretentious (probably lack of money too) seems to show better design, while its rear impact has been more discreet, to that one produced in New York and titled simply 'Punk', wich was more influenced by comics and teen magazines. The punk movement of the West Coast also had another notorious pastiche made in San Francisco and called 'Search & Destroy'.
