Billy Childish & Holly Golightly·'In Blood'
Magnificent lo-fi rock'n'roll record, first published in 1999, plainly addictive because or in spite of its repetitive sound (as the cover announces: 'One chord, One song, One sound'), made by two of underground most interesting figures, folkie singer Holly Golightly (best known for her appearence in that famous record by The White Stripes, 'Elephant') and Billy Childish (independent garage and punk rock artist with an interesting solo career but also known as leader with The Headcoats, band that had a female response with The Headcoatees where both musicians were first related). I guess in a very basic scale one can compare the sound of these songs to that minimalist rockin' stuff by The Velvet Underground or also somehow to Pj Harvey's demos and the first recordings by The Kills.
