Uno de mis personajes favoritos, que más allá de la imagen de alcohólico provocador y feo sátiro y ligón de mujeres bellas (y por esto último diana típica de alguna que otra envidia) que tanto se explotó de cara al ojo público, fue un fantástico compositor que supo usar como casi nadie las imágenes de la cultura popular para construir pequeñas películas y ambientes en forma de canciones. Estas dos buenas recopilaciones contienen algunos de los mejores ejemplos de lo que fue su creación (aunque con alguna ausencia notable), el primer álbum muestra una época más temprana con un jazz algo minimalista y el segundo una selección de su etapa más pop. Genio y figura.
