Robert Capa, Gerda Taro y Tina Modotti son los más conocidos foto-reporteros extranjeros que se involucraron y tuvieron relación con un ánimo anti-fascista durante la guerra civil española, pero no fueron los únicos. La húngara Kati Horna estuvo trabajando durante ese periodo para el gobierno republicano y algunas publicaciones anarquistas pero a la vista de los acontecimientos marchó a Méjico con todos sus negativos ocultos y no se puso en contacto con el gobierno español por desconfianza hasta 50 años después. En 1983 el Ministerio de Cultura se hizo con la colección para los Archivos Nacionales. Otro asunto es que existen numerosos reporteros gráficos españoles que cubrieron ese periodo y fueron silenciados y casi borrados del mapa, pero de eso hablaremos otro día.
Robert Capa, Gerda Taro or Tina Modotti are the most known foreign photo-journalists related to the antifascist work during Spanish Civil War, but they were not the only ones. Hungarian Kati Horna was taking photographs for the spanish Republican goverment and for some anarchist magazines but due to the defeating situation she left to Mexico with all her negatives hidden. It was not until 50 years later that she was confident enough to offer her work to the spanish authorities. In 1983 her collection was finally to be part of the Spanish National Archives. Another thing is that there were several spanish photo-journalists covering the subject that were silenced afterwards, their work forgotten and deteriorating somewhere.
