Escuchando un impecable 'Very Best of' de Lee Dorsey, fantástico intérprete de Rytm & Blues y Soul, nacido en Nueva Orleans, que a edad temprana tuvo cierta popularidad como boxeador con el nombre de 'Kid Chocolate' y una década después empezaba a ganar notoriedad como cantante con algunos éxitos que el tiempo se ha encargado de convertir en clásicos de la música popular. Gran parte de su fama se debió al productor y compositor Allen Toussaint y por otra parte la banda que le acompañaba en el Estudio en muchos de estos temazos pertenecían a una legendaria banda de funk, The Meters.
Listening to this fully enjoyable 'Very Best of Lee Dorsey', a fantastic Rythm & Blues performer born in New Orleans, who first enjoyed certain popularity as a boxer under the name 'Kid Chocolate' and a decade later started to gain notoriety as a singer due to some hits that now stand as classics of popular music. Allen Toussaint, producer and composer, was quite responsible for that success and the musicians that accompanied Dorsey in the Studio for many of these great tracks belonged to a legendary funk band, The Meters.
