Fotografías de Astrid Kirchherr en Liverpool. Kirchherr conoció a los Beatles a principios de los 60s cuando éstos tocaban en Hamburgo. El encuentro resultó en un impacto mutuo, ella impresionada por el rock'n'roll de la banda y ellos por las ideas y raras costumbres y gustos bohemios de la chica y sus amigos. El integrante original de los Beatles Stuart Sutcliffe se enamoró perdidamente hasta el punto que estaban prometidos cuando él falleció prematuramente y el resto de la banda adoptó el (famoso) corte de pelo y otras prácticas (como el uso de drogas farmacéuticas) de aquel ambiente al que fueron plenamente introducidos por ella, que llevada por sus inquietudes artísticas de entonces tomó muchas fotografías de los Beatles (como también hizo su amigo Jürgen Vollmer) y luego siguió fotografiando a la banda y otros temas un tiempo hasta que abandonó gradualmente su práctica, si bien sus imágenes han sido publicadas en libros de cierto éxito.

The meeting resulted in a mutual impact, she impressed by the rock'n'roll sound of the band and them for the ideas and odd habits and tastes of the bohemian girl and her friends. The founding Beatles member Stuart Sutcliffe fell in love to the point they were engaged when he died prematurely and the rest of the band adopted the (famous) haircut and other practices (such as use of pharmaceutical drugs) from the environment they were introduced to by her. Led by her artistic concerns she took many photographs of The Beatles at that time (as also did her friend Jürgen Vollmer) and then continued shooting them and other subjects for a time until gradually abandoned her practice, although her images of the band have been published in several books of some success.
