Barney Bubbles fue el seudónimo utilizado por el artista, diseñador gráfico y director de vídeos musicales Colin Fulcher que, durante gran parte de los años '70s y principios de los '80s, fue el responsable de la apariencia de gran cantidad de portadas de discos y material para promoción de bandas como Hawkwind, Ian Dury & The Blockheads o Elvis Costello & The Attractions entre muchas otras. Su influyente trabajo se caracteriza por la utilización de elementos geométricos y colores vivos, pero durante su amplia producción se sirvió de gran cantidad de recursos y estilos diferentes. Bubbles desgraciadamente se suicidó en 1983 acuciado por las deudas al fisco, la reducción de los encargos y sus crecientes trastornos de conducta.

Barney Bubbles was the nickname used by English artist, graphic designer and music video director Colin Fulcher who during the '70s and early '80s was responsible for a large amount of visual arts, mainly music promo material and album covers, for bands like Hawkwind, Ian Dury & The Blockheads or Elvis Costello & The Attractions among many others. His influential work is characterized primarily by geometric elements and vivid colours, although the body of his work is quite eclectic. Unfortunately he committed suicide in 1983, due it seems to financial worries, including unpaid taxes and reducing assingments, but also to severe conduct disorders.
