Leni Sinclair es una fotógrafa conocida fundamentalmente por sus imágenes de músicos (especialmente las potentes bandas Iggy Pop & Stooges y los MC5) y de los movimientos revolucionarios surgidos en la época de los 60s-70s.
Leni Sinclair is a photographer known above all for her iconic images of musicians (specially MC5 and The Stooges) and for her coverage of some 60s to 70s revolutionary movements.
La 1ª Iglesia Zenta de Ann Arbor fue una supuesta congregación religiosa creada en el Estado de Michigan que en realidad fue un invento para poder consumir libremente todo tipo de drogas (que formaban parte de sus sacramentos) y evadir impuestos acogiéndose ante las autoridades a la libertad de culto religioso y que tuvo algo de difusión mediática ya que contaba entre sus miembros con integrantes de la banda de rock MC5.
The First Church of Zenta was a nonprofit ecclesiastical corporation that held all kind of psychoactiv drugs as sacraments with the idea that relying on the constitutional doctrine of freedom of religion it would serve as their protection against conviction for possession and use of narcotics. It was well known being that between its members and promoters were the rock band MC5 and associated staff.
Ann Arbor es una ciudad estadounidense localizada en el estado de Míchigan, cercana a Detroit, que en la actualidad acoge la Universidad de Michigan y gran parte de los parques tecnológicos de la zona además de una enorme base proletaria debido al crecimiento de la economía y los servicios. Durante la década de los 60s a los 70s la ciudad tuvo cierta repercusión debido a los movimientos anti-Vietnam y de lucha por los derechos civiles que le ganaron una reputación como centro de política liberal y de tendencias izquierdistas que tenía mucho que ver con su numerosa comunidad universitaria y de clase trabajadora. Iggy Pop creció allí.
Ann Arbor is a city in the U.S. State of Michigan, next to Detroit and home to the University of Michigan. The university shapes Ann Arbor's economy significantly as it employs about 30,000 workers, including about 12,000 in the medical center. The city's economy is also centered on high technology, with several companies drawn to the area by the university's research and development money, and by its graduates. During the 1960s and 1970s, Ann Arbor also became a locus for left-wing activism and served as a hub for the civil-rights movement and anti-Vietnam War movement, as well as the student movement and gained a reputation as an important center for liberal politics. Iggy Pop grew up there.
