Marie Cosindas, who tried first with design and painting and began working in black and white, underwent a shift in her path when Polaroid appointed her as one of the photographers to prove their new color instant film. Since then Cosindas adopted the new invention as her working tool manipulating the process to obtain warm colors according to her taste. Her portraits, characterized by the immediacy of the poses and the use of natural light, are already part of the iconography of American Art and Contemporary Art and throughout her career she has portrayed the most diverse people and icons of popular culture such as Warhol, Ezra Pound, Truman Capote, Faye Dunaway, Robert Redford, Paul Newman, Tom Wolfe or Yves Saint Laurent to name a few.
