'Bye Bye Blondie' es una ficción dirigida por la enfant terrible Virginie Despentes basada en su novela de mismo título y en la que se narra la intrincada y larga historia de amor de Gloria y Frances, que se conocieron y enamoraron siendo adolescentes en los agitados años 80s y se reencuentran 20 años después. Gloria sigue manteniendo su compromiso nihilista y fuerte personalidad y Frances se ha convertido en una venerada presentadora de televisión. Durante la película se simultanean escenas de su vida actual con los detalles de su relación en el pasado. El segundo largometraje de su directora y escritora, aporta secuencias mucho más interesantes (gracias también a sus protagonistas) que su fallido debut ('Fóllame', 2000).

Gloria remains a committed nihilistic of strong personality and Frances has become a revered TV hostess. During the movie scenes of their modern life are followed by details of their relationship in the past. The second feature from film director and writer Despentes, this one presents much more interesting sequences (thanks in part to the cast) than her (to me that is) failed debut ('Baisse Moi', 2000).
