Roger Kasparian, aunque hijo de fotógrafo, empezó a trabajar en el oficio casi por casualidad cuando se le presentó la oportunidad de acompañar a un conocido de la prensa. Desde entonces retrataría a algunas de las figuras esenciales del pop de los 60s, una labor que desempeñaría exclusivamente durante esa década. Una vez acabada ésta se hizo cargo del Estudio de su padre y se dedicó por lo tanto a la fotografía local de bodas y eventos varios, su relevante y excelente material anterior casi ignoto y desapercibido para las crónicas y el conocimiento general. Snap Galleries, galería londinense dedicada al material gráfico musical, recuperó recientemente el archivo musical de Kasparian para una exposición, con el consiguiente eco en la red.
Roger Kasparian, although himself the son of a photographer, got started in the business almost by chance when presented with the opportunity to join a friend who worked for the press. Since then he portrayed some of the key figures of 1960s pop, a job he would be assigned to only through that decade. Once it finished and the '70s started he took over his father's Studio and devoted himself to photographing weddings and local events, his relevant and excellent cultural material remaining almost unknown and unnoticed for chronics and general knowledge. Snap Galleries, a London gallery devoted to music graphic art, recently recovered Kasparian's '60s material for an exhibition, with the resulting echo in the net.
