Die Haut

'Head On' es un álbum de 1992 de la banda experimental-instrumental Die Haut, actualmente disuelta pero que tuvo cierto éxito en la escena post-punk berlinesa de los 80s. Con un único miembro constante, Christoph Dreher, sus otros integrantes pasaron más tarde a formar parte de Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds y Einstürzende Neubauten. La banda acostumbraba a contar en sus grabaciones y conciertos con vocalistas invitados, entre ellos la mayoría de artistas del underground que solían residir o recalar en Berlín, con habituales del circulo de The Birthday Party como Nick Cave, Anita Lane, Lydia Lunch o Einstürzende Neubauten. Su mayor empujón de popularidad les vino con un álbum de 1983 en colaboración con Nick Cave, 'Burning The Ice'.

Christoph estudió cinematografía, lo que le sirvió para dirigir algunos vídeos para Nick Cave ('Tupelo', 'The Singer' o 'The Mercy Seat') y para realizar algunos notables documentales musicales. En años recientes ha seguido realizando documentales y ha estado trabajando como profesor de audiovisuales en una prestigiosa academia de Stuttgart.

'Head On' is a 1992 album by experimental-instrumental band Die Haut - now dissolved but one that had some part in the Berlin post-punk scene of the 80s. With a constant member, Christoph Dreher, the rest later became part of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Einstürzende Neubauten. The band used to feature in their recordings and live shows several guest vocalists including regularly the wide circle of The Birthday Party such as Nick Cave, Anita Lane, Lydia Lunch and Einstürzende Neubauten. Their seminal popularity got started due to a 1983 album in collaboration with Nick Cave, titled 'Burning The Ice'.

Christoph studied filmmaking, what had him making videos for Nick Cave ( 'Tupelo', 'The Singer' or 'The Mercy Seat') and some remarkable music documentaries. He is still making documentaries and has been working as a professor in audiovisuals at a prestigious Stuttgart Academy.
