Kumiko

'Kumiko, The Treasure Hunter' is a curious tribute-film to that magnificent movie (and also excellent TV series) wich is 'Fargo'. In the argument of this tribute, which sets up a whole new story by itself, a self-absorbed, dreamy, hermetic Japanese girl obsessed by the Coens film and confused by the joke in wich the brothers-filmmakers claimed at the start credits of the film that it was a true story, she plans to recover the suitcase full of money that was buried under the snow at the end of that comedy. To make the thing even more funny, the film was written and directed by another peculiar pair of filmmaking brothers, Nathan & David Zellner, what coud make the whole thing seem as another joke by the Coens themselves. Fargo keeps raising children.
