Por otro lado en el documental 'The Beast is still Alive' se tira de la misma presentación, cruda realidad y animación metafórica, para la indagación de la productora y animadora Mina Minelva sobre la evolución del comunismo en su país, Bulgaria, y por extensión en el resto del mundo y el supuesto papel traidor de su abuelo, integrante de una tradición de guerrilleros resistentes y luego agente del sistema represor.
Chris Würtenberg was a Swiss reporter who became so involved in the Balkan war that he ended up being part of a foreign guerrilla financed by the extreme right and formed by all kinds of morons and criminals. The experience costed him his life. His cousin tries in the documentary 'Chris The Swiss' to review the experience and circumstances that led to his death, interspersing her research with her own dreamy animations. On the other hand, in the documentary 'The Beast is Still Alive', the same presentation, raw reality and metaphorical animation, is used in the investigation by producer and animator Mina Minelva about the evolution of communism in her country, Bulgaria, and by extension in the rest of the world and the circumstances the led to the supposed treacherous role of her grandfather, member of a tradition of resistance guerrilla and later an agent of the repressive system.
