Orlando Ribeiro (Lisboa 1911-1997) ha trascendido como una figura emblemática de la renovación de la geografía portuguesa a través de una mirada humanista e insular. Orlando Ribeiro (Lisbon 1911-1997) has transcended as an emblematic figure of the renewal of Portuguese geography through a humanistic look. Concerned about other underlying issues such as music or photography, he was interested through his wanderings in making a semblance of Portugal based also in the history and influence of the colonies and the anthropological exchange that ultimately resulted in a deep and universal portrait of the intrinsic character of the country and that has culminated in buildings and streets dedicated to his name and legacy.
