La ciudad canadiense de Dawson creció al amparo de la fiebre del oro a principios del siglo pasado. Actualmente es una pequeña localidad que conserva el aspecto arquitectónico de antaño, al parecer una de las razones que atrae bastante turismo. En 1978 se halló medio millar de rollos de película conservados bajo una antigua pista de hockey que contenían noticias locales y películas mudas de una industria fílmica entonces floreciente. Este documental edita algo de ese material al ritmo de una banda sonora de Sigur Rós, recreando la historia de la ciudad y su época.
The Canadian city of Dawson grew up under the gold rush at the beginning of the last century. Today it is a small town that preserves the architectural appearance of the old times, apparently one of the reasons that attracts a lot of tourism. In 1978, half a thousand reels of film were found preserved under an old hockey rink containing local news and silent films from a then flourishing film industry. This documentary edits some of that material to the rhythm of a soundtrack by Sigur Rós, recreating the history of the city and its time.
