Se puede ver en la fabulosa página Photography Now una buena selección de la obra de Irving Penn (que falleció el 7 de Octubre del año pasado a los 92 años de edad), uno de los nombres importantes de la fotografía de estudio, renovador de la imagen en la moda con sus trabajos con mucha licencia artística para Vogue y espectacular retratista con querencia por el plano corto, reiterado uso del mismo fondo que ya era parte de su estilo y uso expresivo del contraste. Una curiosidad: hermano de Arthur Penn, director dramático de irregular fortuna y responsable de, entre otras, las espléndidas películas 'Bonnie & Clyde' y 'La Jauria Humana'.
