Miroslav Tichý es un excéntrico artista checo conocido por sus fotografías distosionadas y defectuosas tomadas con cámaras de fabricación propia realizadas con materiales de desecho. El 
artista, que según he leído debe andar por los ochenta años de edad, empezó a tomar fotos hará unos 50 años. La mayor parte de su temática la forman imágenes de mujeres tomadas a hurtadillas como respuesta a la brutal represión que existía en su país por la dictadura gobernante entonces. The artist, who I read must be now around his eighties, began taking pictures 50 years ago, most of them women captured surreptitiously in response to the brutal repression that existed in his country by the ruling dictatorship then. But it wasn't until a few years ago that his work started to gain big notoriety.
