Dex Romweber Duo·'Ruins of Berlin'
Dexter Romweber es historia reciente del rock, mitad del genial e imprescindible dúo de rockabilly, psychobilly y blues alternativo de los 90s, los ya disueltos Flat Duo Jets (claros precursores de los White Stripes como Jack White ha reconocido abiertamente algunas veces, por ejemplo en aquella curiosa película sobre la guitarra, 'It Might Get Loud'). Se pueden encontrar además algunas grabaciones anteriores a ésta ya con su nombre. Este disco es del 2009 y suena a rock tradicional pero con toque crooner, muy a lo banda sonora. Incluye (por ejemplo) una memorable versión del 'Ruins of Berlin'.
Dexter Romweber is part of recent history of Rock, half of the brilliant and indispensable '90s alternative Rockabilly, Psychobilly and Blues duo, the Flat Duo Jets (clear precursors of the White Stripes as Jack White has sometimes openly acknowledged, for example in that curious movie about guitars, 'It Might Get Loud '), and also with several records under his own name. This one was published in 2009 and it contains traditional rock but with a crooner touch and a feel of imaginary soundtrack to it. Including (for example) a memorable rendition of 'Ruins Of Berlin'.
