John Scarpati was the resident photographer for Hollywood's Sunset Strip Club in the '80s, when a thriving rock movement openly mixed glam, metal and punk resulting in many intended overworked looks exaggerating the legacy of previous decades. Scarpati, which over time has become a renowned photographer, portrayed at the time most of those bands from that scene of all kind of excesses, images that are collected in his book 'Cramp Slash & Burn' and has been exhibiting in galleries, printed on chromatic canvas instead of photo paper.
