'Amarcord Nino Rota' es un extraño homenaje con reintrerpetraciones varias en clave de jazz de algunas de las composiciones de Nino Rota para las películas de Fellini. Producido por Hal Willner en 1981, fue el primero de sus variados proyectos de tributo con multiples artistas de renombre. A pesar de que las magníficas composiciones de Rota quedan en muchos casos casi irreconocibles por la pátina de jazz, la música puede resultar bastante disfrutable en algún momento bien escogido del día (o la noche). Pero al final, teniendo en cuenta la calidad de los músicos implicados y el material de trabajo, el resultado deja bastante que desear.

'Amarcord Nino Rota' is a strange tribute including several reintrerpetrations in the key of jazz of some of the compositions by Nino Rota for Federico Fellini. Produced by Hal Willner in 1981, it was the first of his many tribute projects with multiple renowned artists. Although the magnificent compositions are in many cases almost unrecognizable by the jazz tune of it all, this stuff can be quite enjoyable at a well chosen time of the day (or night). That said, at the end, considering the quality of the musicians involved and the working material, the result is really lame.
